Students at Immanuel College rejoice at positive A Level results

Today, students at Immanuel College are celebrating their achievements after receiving their A Level grades.

The Academy, located on Leeds Road, Bradford, and part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, is pleased to announce another year of excellent results achieved by its students, following two years of dedication to their studies.

Overall, nearly one quarter of all grades were at A* or A – a significant increase on the previous year.  75 per cent of grades were A* to C and there was 100 per cent pass rate across all subjects.

In applied general courses there was 100 per cent pass rate across all subjects, with 95 per cent of grades at Distinction*/Distinction/Merit.

Subjects that saw particular success included Art, English Literature, Further Mathematics, Philosophy, Ethics & Religion and Photography, all achieving 100% A* to C grades.

Many students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and employment at leading organisations. Three students, who did exceptionally well have secured places at Oxford University.

While all students have done incredibly well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:

  • Lewis Firth who achieved A* grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and has secured a place at Oxford University to read Mathematics.
  • Desiree Parker achieved an A grade in Sociology, Distinction* in Sport and Distinction* in Health and Social Care and is going to study Midwifery at Brighton University.

Collecting their A Level results today, Lewis Firth and Desiree Parker said:
